Annmaree O’Keeffe has extensive experience in international relations and development and has worked in Asia, Africa and the Pacific in various roles including as Australia’s ambassador to Nepal, head of Australia’s international aid program in Papua New Guinea, Australia’s first ambassador for HIV/AIDS and Deputy Director General of Australia’s international aid program.
She now works extensively on the international response to HIV/AIDS and is a member of AIDS 2014 coordinating committee as well as the local co-chair for the conference’s sub-committee on leadership and accountability.
Annmaree is also a founding director of the Asia Pacific Business Coalition for AIDS and is a member of the advisory council for the Pacific Friends of the Global Fund for AIDS, TB and Malaria. She is also the chair of Australia’s national commission for UNESCO.
